地震，使我想起了弟弟。弟弟是学地震预测的。1982年从云南大学地球物理系毕业后，进入国家地震局工作。期间，在中科院攻读了硕士学位。

记得弟弟好像是1987年30岁的时候结婚的。当时每月拿七、八十元工资，物价飞涨，即使兼着一份工，日子也过得十分清苦。更要命的是没有住房，在父母家蜗居一隅。那个年代，是“搞导弹的不如搞茶叶蛋的，拿手术刀的不如拿剃头刀的。”弟弟在兄弟姐妹中学历最高，收入却最低。

终于弟弟忍无可忍，选择了逃离。1990年，在孩子一岁时，弟弟去了美国。第二年，弟媳单位终于分了住房，但一切为时已晚。1993年，弟媳带着孩子去美国陪读，现在一家人在纽约过着平静的生活。分下的房子又被单位收回了。
